 James "Mike" Brockway, CPA

 

 

 

 

Mike Brockway, a 1970 graduate of Baylor University, did post graduate work at Baylor University before joining the Texas National Guard in 1971.

Brockway began his professional career with the Waco office of a regional public accounting firm. He worked in both the tax and audit departments of the firm until 1976, when he moved to Temple as the manager in charge of the firm’s Temple branch office. In 1986, Mike founded Brockway, Gersbach, McKinnon & Niemeier, P.C., which acquired this Temple practice.

As a partner since 1978, Mike devotes his professional time consulting with individuals and businesses as to their income and estate tax planning. Mike is a member of the tax and management consulting sections of the AICPA.

Mr. Brockway’s professional associations are as member and past director of the Central Texas Chapter of CPAs, member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He is also a member of the IRS-South Texas District Director’s Practitioners’ Liaison Committee and the TSCPA Committee on Government Relations.

Brockway’s civic involvement currently includes serving as a member of the Scott & White Estate Planning Council, the Board of Directors of the Temple Business League, the Temple Industrial Foundation and Centex Storm Soccer Club. He is a member of Leadership Temple, and Baylor Alumni Associations (the Bear Foundation), Temple South Rotary Club, Temple Elks Lodge, Temple Area Crimestoppers, and the Temple Chamber of Commerce. Mike is the past president and treasurer of numerous civic organizations.
